Raising funds for gospel ministry

We are deeply grateful for your support in sharing the good news of Jesus among Arab peoples. Your generosity has enabled us not only to help future gospel workers to explore their callings and prepare to go, but also to continue partnering with organisations that meet people’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the midst of crises.

Yemen Appeal

Nearly eight years into the civil war, the situation in Yemen continues to deteriorate. The UN estimates that over 377,000 people have lost their lives.¹ There is widespread famine and lack of access to education and healthcare. In recent months, there has been an unprecedented increase in the persecution of Christians.

Our partners in Yemen continue to provide essential support through a wide range of initiatives. They provide education to thousands of children, support small businesses to create employment, disciple and support believers (particularly women, who are often marginalised in society), and care for those facing persecution. Through your generous giving, we were able to send a donation of £64,000 to our partners in Yemen in 2022.

Lebanon Appeal

Lebanon remains in a state of crisis. The UN estimates that around 80% of the population are in poverty, lacking access to essentials such as healthcare, education, and adequate living conditions.² The economy is in chaos, and some staple foods are in short supply.

Over the past year, our partners in Lebanon have been supporting thousands of families. They distribute food and hygiene products to those most in need, as well as providing access to medical support. They meet emotional, spiritual, and physical needs, providing pastoral support and sharing the hope of the gospel. Many of the families they work with have come to Christ.

Since our last update, our Lebanon Appeal has raised another £15,000 to support these ministries, thanks to your generosity.

Mobilisation Appeal

In 2022 our Mobilisation Team exhibited at eleven festivals and conferences, and even more events at Christian Unions and churches, where they met dozens of people interested in mission in the Arab world. They had many conversations, encouraging and supporting people as they think through how God might be calling them to get involved in mission. Over twenty individuals participated in our short-term mission programmes, and others attended training events on topics like Islamics and mission. Five people went to serve overseas long-term and many more are being supported in the process of exploring this possibility for themselves. It has been exciting to see engagement with each of these areas pick up after the pandemic.

By giving £16,000 to our Spring Appeal last year, your generosity enabled the team to continue meeting and mentoring future workers.
