The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord. When the church at Jerusalem heard what had happened, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

When the Church in Jerusalem heard how the Lord was powerfully at work among the unreached in Antioch, they sent one of their gifted encouragers, Barnabas, to support and develop the work. The New Testament tells us that Barnabas brought Paul along and they together invested a year strengthening the new believers in face-to-face discipleship.
We passionately believe that the Lord calls us to raise up people who will be the disciple-makers of today among the unreached. Our Pioneers members are serving in unreached communities where some are seeing incredible opening of hearts to the gospel. We live in exciting times with many leaving Islam to respond to Christ following online forums, thought-provoking videos on the internet and Christ-glorifying testimonies.
Gospel media is breaking down barriers and accelerating access to the gospel (see article Deeper Waters - The Importance of Media) for people earnestly seeking Jesus. But there is a desperate need for face-to-face disciplers to build on the work so that the gospel is planted deeply into people’s lives.
Our sending office supports 144 adults and 97 children involved in cross-cultural mission who have been sent from the UK and Ireland. Our mission mentors continue to journey with more than 10 people appointed and being prepared for long-term service, plus more than 30 serious enquirers in the pipeline. This is most encouraging and we are thankful for the Lord’s sustaining. Yet, we seek the Lord to stir even more to join us in the work, as the harvest is plentiful.
